Accessibility at T1les

Last updated October 8, 2026

T1les is committed to making our service usable by everyone, including people with disabilities. We are a small company and we are working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, the standard referenced in the U.S. Department of Justice's guidance under the Americans with Disabilities Act and applied under the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination.

Where we stand

T1les is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA: most of the site meets the guidelines, and some parts do not yet. The sign-in pages, the Help assistant, and the Team, Account, Calendar and My Tiles panels are built to work with a keyboard and a screen reader. On the board, every tile can be reached with the Tab key and opened with Enter, and on a free-form board the arrow keys move a tile (hold Shift for bigger steps). We honour your operating system's "reduce motion" setting, every tile shows its state in words as well as colour, and the page can be zoomed with your browser.

Known limitations

We know about the following and are working on them:

  • On a Grid board, a tile moves between columns when its state changes. Open the tile, move to its state box and press Enter to pick a state; dragging is not needed, but there is no single "move left or right" key yet.
  • Resizing a tile, linking boards, and the Align tools need a mouse or touch.
  • We have not yet completed screen reader testing with NVDA and VoiceOver, so some controls on the board may be announced with less detail than they should be.
  • The board shows tile colours chosen by each team; a team's own colour choices may not meet contrast guidelines. Changing a board's colours under Options restores the defaults.

Tell us about a problem

If any part of T1les is hard for you to use, email accessibility@t1les.com. Tell us the page or feature, what went wrong, and the browser and assistive technology you use. We aim to reply within five business days and to fix barriers we can fix in the normal course of our updates. If you need information held in T1les in another format, for example a spreadsheet of a board's tiles, we will provide it.

How we work on accessibility

Accessibility is checked as part of each change to T1les, using automated tools and keyboard testing, and we review this page when the service changes. T1les works in current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android. This statement follows the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative's guidance on accessibility statements.
